This is the first fall issue of the 2026-27 school year. As Backdrop does, we focused on events and issues that were impacting students. Such as numerous protests on campus regarding reproductive rights, upcoming voting information for the midterm, etc. This magazine issue focuses on what Athens and Ohio University are doing and going through trying to convey to the readers that this is where we are at the start of our school year and what needs to change.
